Mr. Attaf holds bilateral talks with his Egyptian counterpart

The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, met Monday in Jeddah with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Badr Abdelatty.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of Attaf’s participation in the extraordinary session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers.

During this meeting, the two ministers reviewed the various aspects of Algerian-Egyptian relations and the prospects for further strengthening them given the capabilities that both countries possess, particularly in economic fields, in implementation of the outcomes of the official visit made by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to Egypt in October 2024.

On the multilateral level, the two parties exchanged views and analyses regarding several current issues at international and regional levels, foremost among which the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the Middle East in general, in addition to developments in Libya, a brotherly country, and in the Sahel-Saharan region.
